Around here, foxess, wolves hawks, eagles and various weasels take care of the rabbit problem. Humans are known fo russetting the balance of nature, and then complaining about the results.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I stopped hunting about 40 years ago. That, and having to push my oldest son down behind a log because of the other deer hunters bullets flying through the trees right over our heads (I never did shoot a deer so I guess I was supposed to stop hunting anyway)

I finally caught up to the baby bunny that lives under our shed sitting out it our yard enjoying the breeze. It gave me enough time to throw on my 70-300mm Sigma APO 1:4-5.6 and crank it up to 300mm. The other couple are "grownups" that I caught out in the back yard with the Sigma 105mm 1:2.8 DG macro.
Unless they start doing handstands, I promise not to keep posting photobunnies every day.

And a squirrel.

I'll have to pull that squirrel up and show my Mom & Dad next time I go down to their house. She'll Love it! ( It is a great shot, by the way!) They feed the local birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and deer (whitetails) around their house. The occasional black bear stops by to visit but doesn't eat much.

Great scenic view and photo. I am wondering about the purpose of those two stone projections into the stream? They appear to be intended to deflect the water flow, but for what purpose?

Obstructions to produce trout holes? Seems like a lot of work to catch a couple of trout. It must be something else.

Hello Pentaxians!

It's been a while since I last logged in and since my last post.

Here's a long exposure (two minutes) of the Brooklyn Bridge with the Manhattan skyline in the background. It's a "self-composite" of a black and white version and a color version of the same image.
