Thanks Steve, naked eye I thought it probably was a turkey vulture. Was thrilled to see the images & know it was a Bald Eagle!

I took my new 1.4 extender to the beach to try it out on my Sigma 120-400. It was a bit blowy and I think the focus wasn't hitting right, but nie piccy though.

Another K-3 and Tamron 300 2.8 with Pentax 1.4 TC post. I often shoot for hours with this combo.

Taking note of current feeder birds, with my camera. I didn't manage an Evening Grosbeak shot but there is a flock of about 20 using the feeders. So far they only come when I'm not in the blind.

And some recent K-3 landscapes.

K-3 and DA 18-135

Turned on the K-3 for the first time in something like two months... DA 35mm Limited, flash, softbox, reflector and some spicy bounty from the garden.

It doesn't always excel, that 55-300, but it also is extraordinarily good from time to time. The only way I criticize this lens is I don't think you get the same percentage of out standing images using it, but it's like 10% to 15% or something like that. A great deal of the time it punches way above it's weight class.
