Texture study--green thread and white towel (retrieved from laundry hamper for photographic purposes).

KIT: K-1 with Mamiya-Sekor C 150mm f 3.5. Loving these medium format Mamiya C lenses on the K-1. They offer outstanding construction, loads of sharpness, good bokeh (not in these two shots), and easy manual focus, but unfortunately are not adaptable to the 645 N/D/Z because of incompatible registry distances..

Went out to get better pictures of redpolls. This one from a few days ago needed better light, lower ISO, wider DoF, yada yada yada.
K-3 and Tarmon 300 2.8 with F 1.7x AF adapter (510mm ƒ4.5)
ISO 200, ƒ8, AV

Today I had sun but no birds. There were 60 out there when the light was bad. Today, none. What can you do?

While I was waiting, a few of the regulars.

That what happens when you put on a prime for small birds and a big one comes. Unfortunately with primes, the right lens for a Redpoll is not the right lens for a Blue Jay. Unless you're going to do headshots.
