Not everyone has visitors like these. South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. K-3 + FA*300 f4.5










We usually get a couple of visits a year.

Thanks Ray. The odd thing is that, as Aussies know, they are not what they seem. The males are not particularly charming - rather cranky and aggressive towards the females. They make a fearsome noise, like a wild boar. The girls sound like a woman screaming when being chased by a male. A male on our place once grabbed a female and she fell from the tree with a thud. Their cousins, the wombats, on the whole are much more endearing IMO.
