So, my K1 is in the shop after the AF button fell off and I've had problems with the mirror sticking up and shutter stuttering. I've been looking forward to using the solar filter I made a couple of years ago for the eclipse to try to get shots of the Mercury transit that occurred here this morning. With the K1 in the shop I pulled out the K3 for these shots.
The clouds kept me from getting a shot until about 40-45 minutes into the transit. Here was one of the first (Mercury is near the bottom left):

I did take a few shots through the clouds and some were interesting. Here is one of the better shots:
Here is a crop when it was at the midpoint and closest to the center:
And finally a heavy crop just seconds from the end of the full transit. I didn't get a good shot of the "teardrop" effect.
