The second of the three works well indeed

Yes, I agree. For the first and third one, I would underexpose and gave them a little more of contrast, IMHO.

I quite agree with both observations. Thank you for your attention to my work.

Early one November morning . . . November?!

Two days after the snowstorm in northern Ohio.

KIT: K-3 with Pentax 67 55mm f 4.0. The 67/55mm is a wide angle lens on the Pentax 67, but seems more like a 120mm on the K-3 (in FOV, I mean, not aiming to start any long-winded discussions about how a 55mm lens is a 55mm lens no matter what camera it is used on!).

Ivan, I like very much those colors shots with trees and snow that converge to a B&W picture you are showing us ...

Just a test shot

I haven't picked up the K3 or any photo equipment in far, far too long. I'm making a concerted effort to get back into the groove. I'm upgrading gear a bit and got the Sigma ART 18-35 F1.8 I've drooled over for a long time. This is one of my first test shots. Nothing special...

Edit: The same JPEG viewed directly on my Mac's native view instead of in a browser looks sharper and more detailed. The colors in the browser seem subtly smashed too. Apparently I need to learn to export for web viewing.

Export at the exact size in the forum. If PF has to change the size to fit, sometimes things don't come out perfectly.

Thank you. The bokeh is courtesy of the Sigma. I'll let you in on a secret - that photo is straight out of RawPhotoProcessor 64 with a film preset, a bit of sharpening and black level twiddling. It's not supported anymore, sadly, is Mac only, but it's great.

Thanks. I'll try that next time. I need to rethink my workflow anyway. As in, I really hate the digital workflow because I'm on a computer all day at work and my film sensibility is deeply ingrained. I just want simple tools to help realize my simple vision, not insert unicorns shooting laser beams, turning people's skin into plastic or HDR/compress everything into flat nothingness. (Ok, minor rant complete).

Thanks

Thanks for the secret phreon, I have a Mac so I'll try to get that software ...
