Aaron, have the moderators ever questioned your posting images that are not safe for work, such as the second one above?

Tawny Frogmouth Owl in a palm tree behind our house. K-3 and Tamron AF 70-300mm F4-5.6 Tele-Macro.

Correction. I just found this on Google:

Is a tawny frogmouth an owl?
Tawny Frogmouths are nocturnal birds (night birds). ... With their nocturnal habit and owl-like appearance, Tawny Frogmouths are often confused with owls, but are actually more closely related to the nightjars. Their feet are weak however, and lack the curved talons of owls.

This little birdie made its nest on our propane tank and now sings to us, while roosting on our clothes line.

Thank you. I am not known as one who tries to be PC! But I don't make up bird names. You will find more information here: Tawny frogmouth - Wikipedia

BTW, a palm tree is not a good place for it to be as it gets no benefit from the camouflage provided by its feathers when it is sitting in a tree. They blend in perfectly and are often very hard to see. Example images in the above link.

Ah, yes, you are right. I stand corrected. I just found this:

Is a tawny frogmouth an owl?
Tawny Frogmouths are nocturnal birds (night birds). ... With their nocturnal habit and owl-like appearance, Tawny Frogmouths are often confused with owls, but are actually more closely related to the nightjars. Their feet are weak however, and lack the curved talons of owls.
