Thanks for the additional photos. Last Sunday I used my DA 12-24 instead of my DA* 16-50 because we were visiting Waterton Lakes National Park which is twinned with US's Glacier National Park for the first time since the 2017 fires went through. I used 12mm quite a bit even though at times I would have wanted a bit longer than 24mm. The K-3's 24 mp allowed the needed cropping. I quite understand why you like the 16-85. The extra reach must have been appreciated in the balloon.
