Thanks to 8.3 FPS

These shots were easy because of the great FPS of the K3

I've posted the images without applying any noise reduction so you can see what the camera gives you from RAW.. you'll notice there is quite a bit of variation from image to image with the Blue Jay having the most pronounced noise. It's nothing a bit of noise reduction can't handle…
My gut feeling is this is about the same as my k-5 at 3200 ISO, but I haven't actually done any comparisons.
Thanks Norm.

I see that even with some PP to reduce "grain" (I call it "grain" rather than "noise" because it is not the awful chroma/luminance noise we usually see in pics) the details are very well kept. And that is good !
One more reason to keep shooting RAW.

Cheers!

Ya, the lake is the more expensive part of the equation... at least if you want it all to yourself.

You know it's funny, because I often wish that I lived in a more picturesque part of the world. Southern Indiana just isn't known for its beautiful vistas or, snow capped mountains. But photography isn't limited to just the Alps or the Rockies, fortunately.

Tess keeps telling me that, I don't believe her either.

In the yard today

A few from the yard today with the DA*300. No noise reduction on these except for the last one where only slight reduction was applied. All are crops of the native 6016x4000 pixel resolution of the K-3.
