Model!

Last wednesday I went for working with Mariska. She is a starting model, so for her portfolio and good for me to practice to stear a model to create an image.

K-3; FA31mm; f7.1 1/160th and iso 100.

I didn't have a lot of time to shoot today, but I did get a few images worth keeping on file…

Even if you don't get much, you can still post what you get. More snow images… so much cold and snow this year.

Always like your shots, but liked these especially well--I think it's the way the greenish , snowy background provides a setting for the birds.

I know what you mean, after a bazillion bird images, having snow makes then different from the others. A new lease on life. Now, if only they didn't always come with such bad light… thanks for commenting.

We have much snow and cold also. Love the red breasted nuthatch. We get them occasionally with the white breasted variety much more common. I love the snow in your shots.

We are the opposite, more red breasted, when we get a white I hustle to try and get a picture. The reds are there every day. Thanks for the comment.

Not nearly your quality, but thought you may enjoy this. These guys are here everyday for their sunflower seeds and suet.

You guys are so talented that i was a bit shy to post some pictures, but i won´t learn anything if no one ever has the chance to give me feedback.
Today i had time to go to the wildlife park and the open air museum to really try my new machine for the first time. (i had to work all day for the last two weeks, the K3 was very unhappy with me)
It was a dark, grey and rainy day and while the other visitors feared for their equipment i was out and shooting some pictures. I really love the weather sealing.
I´m new, so please excuse my inexperience and lack of skill. I quite happy with my pictures for my first day out.

The sleepy lynx.

A nice piece of wood

My first try to shot some flying bird. Not very sharp, i need to work on my skills. (cropped)

These were hard to catch. Very anxious.

A beautiful Lanz Bulldog (part of)

An completly unlit kitchen. (30 sec exposure)

Please feel free to critizise.

Pentax View Camera

Turned my K-3 into a view camera... (The flowers are shot with a Fujinon-W 210mm f/5.6). My lighting was very bad, thus the odd colors. I'll take this rig out tomorrow I think!

To Kain: Oh please, do share a few more results from your view camera adaptation! (My LF equipment is begging- before it finds itself on the auction block (which I was thinking to do soon.)) Btw love your F-standards

OneThird I shall, just got it home from the consignment shop 30m before I posted. Thanks!
Edit: Also, APS-C crop factor on 4x5 ground glass is.... hilarious. It works for verifying center of frame, and thats about it

Just testing on some local GBH's, I am impressed with the sharpness from the camera.
With my K-5 I would have to dial in a bit of sharpness in post but not with the K-3.
Lens is DA*300, f5.6, shutter 1/1000 ISO 200 and 400 (TAv) jpeg format
