Wow those are great, I love the second especially. Interesting bokeh; was that with the Sigma?

I'm not sure what to do to get this tree to pop out a little more from the background. It's at 70mm, so maybe I'll go back and shoot it with the 70mm Ltd instead of the 17-70 zoom. But what then?

Angel golden is a silky looking picture. Nice exposure.

I don't usually post in the forums here, just a bit of a lurker, but after seeing all these awesome pics I just had to share my first couple of weeks with this camera!

Had the K3 for a couple of weeks, upgraded from K20d although will be keeping it, and after a few test runs this week I thought I'd share a few. All were taken on a DA 12-24, and was really testing noise, slow shutter performance and star shots and what an upgrade from the K20d!

An my first star trail attempt from my backyard - followed the very informative turorial on this site, was great! 90 shots at iso 400 25 secs f5.6

Soo.. I got a Pentax K-3 the day i was going to my first model shooting :-) i also had my pentax k-5IIs with me.
Both cameras on RAW and my K-3 with my favorite 50-135, when i came home, my mac didn't "won't" my raw files from my k-3.. Jesus Christ…
I had to convert the raws to jpeg in the camera.. And in many of may pictures i find them to be blurry.. Went out to the woods and shot some nature pictures in jpeg…
Hmm i am over all a little frustrated over this raw, jpeg and blurry/unsharp pictures from K-3..
But i really enjoy the way it work, the sound from it and the quickness :-)
And i look forward to, apple will update, so i can put raw into my mac.
And until then, what quality should i take in jpeg?

Any way.. Here is some off my pictures.. First time with K-3 and first time shooting models.. :-)

Nice model shots. Looks like NR softness to me. A bit of softness may actually be preferred with the K-3 to prevent the "skin pore" problem Turn off all NR reduction in the K-3 and try to process the raws again in camera to see if there is a difference. Ricoh seems to have gone for more aggressive default NR in the K-3 than in previous Pentax models.
