Tripod. Manual mode, as the Av mode tended to overexpose the wheel. Multiexposure, because having an exposure that is too long, would again overexpose the wheel.

Same settings, slightly different crop and different pattern on the wheel, due to the illumination settings.

Sunset this evening from my yard. K3 with 15mm Ltd, @f13, ISO 100. Handheld. Three bracketed exposures -1 EV 1/30th, 0EV 1/15th, +1EV 1/8th initally processed in DxO Optics 9.3 with a little 'Smart Lighting' then merged in photomatix.

Well, I just got my K-3 a couple days ago.. Very nice upgrade even from my K-5!
Here's a couple quick portraits with it. The first one is all natural light with the FA77mm, I used a wireless flash on the 2nd one, shot with the DA 50mm.
I'm loving the extra resolution for sure!

1/200s f/2.0 at 77.0mm iso200

1/60s f/2.2 at 50.0mm iso100
