Manly Harbour, on Moreton Bay, near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was a beautiful day in paradise.

K3, Pentax DA 15 f4 Ltd SMC. This is a beautiful lens and I am really appreciating Rondec's shots with it.

A couple of after sundown pics with the DA20-40 Ltd. I had my 15mm Ltd with me but couldn't change lenses due to the clouds of midges. Believe me you only do that once, and never again. Having the little sadists walking around in the viewfinder is one level of torture too much

Nice pics!

One thing I see is that the right side of the images is sharp but the left is not when comparing @ the same distances.
Have you noticed this and if so, why?

I think my DA 15 is decentered. I really need to send it in to get it fixed, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Some sample shots from Mr Beef 2014, using the Tamron 17-50 f2.8, X mode, AF.C, Sigma DG 530 ST.

I've shot this charity event for four consecutive years now. The K-3 did very well. Of about 600 shots, only about 2 were throwaways due to missed focus, which is better than the K-5 or K-x, which I have previously used for this event. It's the only event where I ever shoot flash, but next year I think I will skip flash entirely. The K-3 can cope with low-light focus and high-ISO (if need be) without any problem. The biggest issue was colour temperature variation under mixed lighting (flash and stage), which you can see at work in shot #1. I may re-tune the AWB of some shots later.

Rondec,

Love the shots. May be driving through your area this September. The photograph of the little girl is awesome. Love the look on her face. It says a thousand things all at once. Sort of like the Mona Lisa in it's effect.
