Very happy with these shots, both single frames in the 4:1 to 6:1 macro magnification range. Starting to find my stride shooting flake macros with the K-3, I think.
Very nice.

Thank you both! Mostly, I've been shooting flake macros using "coupled reverse lens" technique, where you put two lenses together for high-magnification macro work. In the two shots above, the first one was with a Pentax-M 150mm F/3.5 plus reversed Sigma Superwide II 24mm F/2.8, and the second one was also with Pentax-M 150mm F/3.5 primary, but with a reversed Sigma 24-70mm F/3.5-5.6 as the secondary (set at 35mm for this shot). I also use an off-camera Yongnuo YN-560 III flash.

A close up using the macro range of the A 35-105mm. Yeah I know it's dirty.

These are incredible photos Doundounba, could you post a photo of your camera with this setup?

Here are a couple of shots from a gig yesterday, shot with the A 50/1.7 at ISO 12,800. So far I've found the K3 can produce acceptable results at that sensitivity, at least in B&W.

Cross posted to the people & their cameras thread. BTW, the first one is a Rebel series Canon with the 17-55/2.8. I'd like to compare his shots to mine but oh well.
