couple shots: desert primrose & prickly poppy unless I have the id's wrong. BTW: the primrose flower is pink as it's opening, gradually turning white.

A border collie showing its stuff. Advice to all dogs: if you are sent to obedience school, don't get adjacent to a border collie.

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum as a legalized Pentax K-3 owner Nice to see all great photos in this thread - have much to learn from many of you. Thanks for inspiration. Want to share one of my first K-3 photos. It lacks DOF but I still like it))

When stopped down to f/8, the 1.4x HD used with the DA* 60-250mm works quite well. I think people get disappointed when they set the aperture to f/5.6 (i.e. wide open). You need to stop down an additional one stop whenever using a 1.4x teleconverter. Here is a shot taken today on Monhegan Island off the coast of Maine:

View of Reykjavik from the bell tower of the great church on the hill. It was drizzly rain with a howling gale. The blast of wind coming through the glassless windows of the bell tower would push you off balance if you didn't brace your feet before stepping up for a picture. Notice how the front door of the church, marked by the pale-colored pavement lower left, is precisely aligned with a street that comes uphill from near the center of town.

We've had a little too much rain lately and there is quite a bit of water standing around as a result.

From a recent gig I went to. I made lots of mistakes shooting with my SMC A 35-105, with focus and other settings, unfortunately. In the end though the grittiness of the results wasn't a total disaster.
