Milky Way

Playing around with my new K-3 and the O-GPS1 tonight. I tried using the O-GPS1 to get a longer exposure and then blend it with another exposure. Honestly, I ended up preferring this single exposure. Taken with the Rokinon 14mm at f/2.8, 20 seconds, ISO4000.

I really need to find a decent foreground to use in the future. It's tough when you are a woman, though, and you are a little nervous about being alone at night. This was taken from a relative's yard. At least there I have a clear view of the southern sky.

German Shepard Pups

My K-3 is my first dslr. I've owned my K-3 for about four months and so far I love it.

Testing out my new Rokinon 85mm 1.4:

Played with doing image composite star trails this weekend, this one turned out! Would love to do it again some time when I have the whole night to experiment.

Bright mode, 10 second exposures, I think this was 1 hour total. Brightened slightly in Rawtherapee.

I forgot to bring my K3 at the end of this, fell asleep (it was midnight!) Woke in the morning, it was covered in dew. Very thankful for the WR, wiped it off and it seems fine.

I'd like to redo this image with a wider lens - this was at 18mm with the 18-135 DA WR lens. On the other hand, this is the only WR lens I have, glad it was on there.

kengoh - I always like seeing your photos

K3 with the DA 18-250mm. This combo did an amazing job track focusing. Some of these cars passed me at 290 mph and it did great.

Two of the last shots I took with the K-3 before it dropped to the ground. I only have a few more unpublished K-3 shots in the pipeline... Hopefully it won't take months before it's repaired.
