I stopped by the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge today. One of my favorite things to photograph is milkweed pods in the fall. Then a swan and a few geese resting during their long journey. Next is a blue heron. Last is some wild asters. All shot with my Pentax 150-450 lens. I am really liking it.

Creek reflection shot with K-3 and the DA* 60-250mm f4.
Shot from underneath a highway overpass, shadows and the creek bank form a natural heart shaped vignette. The yellowish streaks are from the sunlit submerged creek bed.

I got my K-3 lightly used from the forums here a few months ago, and I've been loving it! Here's some of my favorite shots so far, all taken with the SMC Pentax-DA, 1:3.5-5.6, 18-55mm, AL II These are all out of the box JPEGs with no editing. I haven't quite figured out the best way to shoot RAW, touch up, and convert (I don't have Lightroom, but am messing around with Raw Therapee). So far, I'm pretty content with the K-3's JPEGs.
