These were taken using my K3 and an older Tokina 28-70mm film lens that I once used on my Ashai Pentax K1000.

Out and about

DA 18-135, f/7, 20 seconds, ISO 100

Waikiki by night

DA 18-135, f/5.6, 1/1000 ISO 800

Shoreline near Pupukea

Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 f/4, 1/2000, ISO 200

Waikiki shoreline

No-name 400mm manual focus crappy glass, heavily processed in Adobe Camera Raw because of the pervasive haze and spray, including just to show how freaking big the waves were. I need a decent long lens. Yes, I am making excuses.
f/6.3, 1/640, ISO 100

Huge surf at Waimea Bay

I took a shot at making an HDR of a very gray day using luminosity HDR. I found most of the filters didn't work out, but the black and white one was pretty good. When I get more time I think I'll try to manually merge the different shots to see if I can realize my vision of the shot in colour. DA 18-135mm lens, f10, tripod.

It's cold today -20º C, but, the colder it gets the more birds turn up at the feeders.

I tried the A-400 and 1.7 today, it was way to long. I couldn't get the whole bird in the frame, crazy shallow DoF. I did get a few small bird images though,

two is a few, right?

Then I took the 1.7 off for the larger birds... I didn't change the exif so don't get fooled, they are 400mm not 700mm
