A slightly different picture of this cat posted in the "Wildlife" thread. She looks either pregnant or well-fed.

Yes I have heard of that star but had no idea where it was in the sky !
Now ... I know!

And perhaps a bit more that just where it is. Although larger stars are known, Betelgeuse still ranks among the "gee-whizz" objects, in fact, by any standard it is mind-bending. BTW: It will eventually explode = become a super nova, and when it does, it will for a while outshine any other star and any planet in the sky. In fact, it will come close to shining as brightly as a full Moon. But don't go out and watch for this event. It may not happen for another few million years (I have not marked it in my day-planner).

Sigma 18-35.
A graveyard surrounding Hammarlands Kyrka (Hammarland's church) on Åland. Due to the decentering of the lens the field curvature became quite unusual. The objects on the left side, which are at "infinity" are in focus, while those at the same distance on the right are out of focus. The right most cross is in focus, while the left most cross is not.

One end of the grand ballroom in a palace that was never completed. The pretentious owner had ambitions far beyond his means, so this wonderful room was apparently never used.

Happens in modern times, but this ancient building was definitely a case of someone who thought he was more than what he was.

That creation is abit spooky-creepy. Reminds me of the episode when Grover fitted Kermit with a set of very human false teeth. (if you never saw it, Grover was selling toothbrushes and trying to convince Kermit to purchase, but Kermit pointed out that frogs don't have teeth, so....)
