Yes volley, you are right, same spot. Did you shoot during the iLight festival?

I love your portraits. Which lens do you usually use for these? I mainly shoot people with my DA*50-135mm or my FA-50 1.4 (K-5).

Cheers!

My first attempt doing an astrotracer shot with the K3 and the Rokinon 8mm f3.5 lens. f4 at about 130 seconds. I like the shot despite the fact it looks like I got some super coma or some other artifacts. I'm going to try f5.6 and 4.5 minutes seconds tonight. Not the best time of the month to do it with the moon cycle, but I'm off in the woods so trying to make the most of it. :-)

Also, some lichen!

Thank you. I generally use the FA77 but that last shot was with the 31. I also occasionally use the 43. What can I say I'm a prime shooter.

Oh, yes. Those limited lenses have magical glass. Combined with your talent, I now understand why you produce such great photos. I only own the 31mm ltd. Now with the K-1 out, I might invest in the 77mm for portrait as well.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers!

I was there just for 4 days one month ago (to attend a technical conference). But I need to come back, Ken. Such a great city!!

(this is a version of the color image I posted above. I think I like the B & W image better)

Another astrotracer shot. Having some problems getting star trails with the 8mm Rokinon, has anyone else tried this combo? In a few weeks when there's a new moon I'd like to try more of this with less background moon light.

K3 and the wonderful Auto Revuenon 50/1.4. I think this is at minimum focus distance.

FA 31....Huey Duey Louie and Steve. Once grown they are all white ducks. We'll be lucky if one survives the season in the backyard pond. Too many coyotes ....
