Do you mean you are taking a chance as far as trying out portraiture? If that's the case then I wish you luck good sir. The important part is to have fun.

Really nice shot LeRolls. Well......You've done it. I've sold all my gear to buy a pair of these and just decided to follow you around. So if you see me don't worry. It's only a former Pentax user

I agree Chris, that's a great photo!

Took this earlier today with some of the lilac in our back yard as part of the Single in May challenge.

Even a rock pigeon is beautiful if you're willing to look.

Because the images are very different, a critical comparison is difficult and a bit unfair, but it looks as though the Tamron + TC is significantly better.

Is that the Tamron PZ 1.4x ? I have and like the results of that converter with my Tamron 70-200 2.8 a lot. But, in all fairness, it looks like the FA is focused on the grass 3/4 of the way between the two? Perhaps that lens needs some micro adjustment?

Is the Pentax TC. Now I noticed that I used it also with the FA 100-300mm.
Good results with the Tammy, but mine is not at all sharp at the long end wide open.
Probably you're right about the focus. My bad!

An image akin the one posted above by bobbotron, but these tracks, also out of use, are in Kenya.
