Mexican beaded lizard - a bit larger, duller colored, and less common in the USA than the closely related Gila monster.

K-3 and DA 55-300

It was a cold day, but no wind. (-20 C, -4 F). We have a phenomenon here that we call the "burning mountain" actually the steam plume from the coal dryer at the mine across the valley from me. I braved the weather and went for a walk. Saw some local wildlife en route.

K-3 in "green" mode - too darned cold to take gloves off and fiddle. This is for those of you who believe that 10 F (-12 C) is too cold for a camera. I had the 55-300 on it because it was too cold to take my gloves off to change a lens.

This didn't come out how I intended, but I'll post it up all the same. Getting cold here in Ottawa.

A rose. I wonder how many flower images there are in the computer memories of Pentaxians. The mind boggles.

A lake in the Azores. Almost all the large lakes, including this one, are in volcanic craters or calderas.

Wow that's a bit off the beaten path! I never knew this place existed. Where haven't you been on Earth?
