Love it! I've been eyeing that lens for a while, for that very purpose.

Love the processing you've done with that photo, so clear.
Thanks! Used to work with Samyang 14mm but I'm glad that I bought 10mm .

More fisheye fun with the DA10-17 while doing the Single In April challenge. Breaking out of my comfort zone again. K3 and DA 10-17 5 shot HDR. US131 overpass between the university campus and the museums.

This is the overpass standing across the street.

This is the shot I really came for which is just across from the overpass. I could not get the colours quite right, so black and white it is. Another 5 shot HDR.

I don't get terribly creative with the digitals in the past 2 or 3 years very often but had some fun recently.

Sorry. Cannot decide if the picture is funny or tax day is depressing.

I like the photo

often things that must occur ARE depressing

paying to support society can fall into that category

the problem with tax day are the overwhelming convictions that the other guy is not paying his/her fair share and we are powerless to change that.

[ each of those convictions may or may not be true ]

Almost no one enjoys paying taxes. Almost everyone expects government help when they get into trouble.
The taxes I never complain about are the local ones. Those go into police, fire, schools, snow plowing, road and bridge maintenance = many, many day-to-day things that are really important and too often taken for granted.

I would be happy to pay another $50 a month in taxes, if everyone did it, and it went to seniors, veterans and poor folks living on the $800 a month handed out by welfare and social security. If you give the poor money, corporations will look after their needs.

K-3 and Tamron SP AF 300 2.8 LD [IF] and HD DA 1.4 TC

640 ISO, ƒ5.6 AV )1/60s to 1/250s

The weather man promised some sun this afternoon, but it never happened. As far as I'm concerned the K-3 tops out a 640 ISO, so it was cranked right up. Shots tended to be selected on both pose but in a more basic sense for lack of motion blur. Often a 8 shot sequence only had one or two without motion blur.

One 300mm image, I had to take off the TC for this guy, he was too close.

All the rest at 420mm.

New today a White throated Sparrow. I haven't heard him sing yet, but he's here.

And of course, sitting on a tree branch just outside the blind looking in at me, wondering if there's going to be any more peanuts today. I had to move the tripod back 6 inches just to meet the minimum focussing distance.
