at the Kansas City Zoo photographing chimpanzees through the glass window as the 1 and 2 year old and the adults came out of the trees and brush which makes up a large portion of the 3 plus acres of the enclosure for the regularly scheduled feeding and keeper talk.

first try with the like new lens I picked up from a forum member today

another photo from Thursday, these are two of the three young male cheetahs at the Kansas City Zoo

in the second photo you can notice longer hairs on the neck, Cheetahs do not have manes like lions but when you they have longer "mantles" which they lose as they get older

these brothers are getting to the age where they will have no " mantle"

found out today that cygnets are on the way out

they are going to be rounded up and shipped to a wilderness area and released

Pentax K-3 II w/ Samyang 10mm F2.8. Set up the camera how I thought best and being a manual focus lens I guesstimated the distance since I was shooting with the camera backwards at arms reach in front of us as the ride went. Nothing groundbreaking, but I got more keeper "snapshots" than I thought I would under the circumstances. The fair is always a good time.
