Simple four words there John, but a whole battle being glossed over - well done on making it to the other side - Great pictures too - I always enjoy your concert pictures (and you motorcycle ones too).
Thank you my friend.

Yes, I had prostate cancer which was the scariest thing that has happened to me. Please everyone, male and female, get your exams every year. That's how they found my cancer early and as a stage 1. My wife found she had breast cancer 1 month after my team found my cancer. Knock on wood, we are both healthy now.

If you'll indulge me, I used the little KS2 with the DA* 50-135mm as a back up and it rocked as well. The DA* 50-135mm hasn't focus correctly for months and then all of a sudden it started working again.

Thank you so much for the nice comment. I thought prostate cancer was just for old men. Either I'm older than I feel or my assumption was wrong. :-)

I was so fortunate to look out the window and see this beautiful little Lazuli Bunting! I had to get the photos thru the window, as I didn't want to frighten it away by going outside. K3, Sigma 300 F4, Tamron 1.4TC

Beautiful little bird, well shot. I've shot through windows for the same reason many times.

I was afraid the pair of Violet Green Swallows that had been visiting a nest spot in our eaves had moved on after two *really* unseaonably hot days early last week, but two days ago they appeared again and have now been visiting even more frequently - looks like they're gearing up to use the nest. I understand they'll sometimes build more than one nest site at first then finally choose their favorite as the time draws near, so I'm hoping it's this one if that's the case.
The feeders have all been taken down at my place for the most part and this rail where they hung has become a favorite spot for this male of the swallow pair to hang out in the mornings. I'd say that's a fair trade for losing the feeders for the time being - I'd much rather watch this fellow keeping watch than listen to 20 screaming Pine Siskins bicker with one antoher.
This very small variety of swallow is a favorite and to give you an idea of size, that's just 550 paracord that's tied to the rail there. He's not much bigger than a chickadee, but damn is he handsome.

The mother bird was off doing whatever mother birds do, so I snuck up with my 10-17 at 14mm and snuck a shot, not perfect focus, but kinda cute!

Around the garden with the DA 55-300 PLM, which at 200mm is pretty good flower lens.
