Really like the range of light on those shots. You're certainly making that DA55-300 PLM sing. A favorite lens of mine also. Thanks.

That's just a fascinating image of a beautiful, totally alien creature. Well captured. Thanks.

A stunningly beautiful whatever it is, nicely exposed and presented.
Thank you for the comment - this anemone was in a tank with other bioluminescent creatures - the whole tank looked like it was from the set of an 'Avatar' film shoot.

At the zoo

The zoo is my default solution to not getting out and shooting enough. The lion and the fox are through glass, the zebra and the pelican were just out and about in their respective spaces. All are with the DA 55-300 WR. Overall I was pretty happy with the performance of the lens, which I don't use that much. I'm also happy that the shake reduction in the K-3 is so good because I'm a bit unsteady hand-held at 300mm.

Your basic zebra

Sleeping lion

Great white pelican

Those are great shots.
I don't know what a Fennec is, but I want one! Heh heh... cute little bugger.

Thanks, I appreciate it. World's smallest fox with the biggest fox ears. Sort of like elephant ears in that they radiate heat and help cool the little critter down in the desert, as well as making it look unbearably cute.
