Reposts from Show Me Your Insects, and, in the case of the second one, from Flickr Explored, as the shot was selected by Flickr's algorithm last Friday.

p.s.: I know, I know, some people would prefer separate posts per image because of the contest. The images are already in several threads, so I don't think I need/want to clog up the page...

Tonight's sunset with the D FA 28-105 and in camera HDR. Very little PP in LR CC.

I picked up a used Pentax HD 1.4x Teleconverter From a fellow forum member and attached it to my DA* 60-250mm. It took me a while to find it's sweet spot especially since it was a very overcast weekend and I was shooting between 1000 and 4000 ISO. By the end of the weekend I was pleased with the results. The extra 100mm was nice to have.

That lens seems to take the TC well. I've been pleased with the teleconverter performance on my DA 300 as well.

Yes it does. It took me a while to find its sweet spot but when I did I was pleased with the results. Insurance rules keep you so far away anymore every mm you can gain is a big help.

Thanks! I was a bit skeptical Saturday when I first used it but I read too many positive reviews on the T/C so I kept after it. I had to run the f-stop up to f-14 to f-16 and to top things off I found that at full zoom the image would soften but if I backed off of full zoom just a tad the sharpness returned. By the end of the weekend I was happy with the results. I can't wait to shoot a race on a nice sunny day.

K-3 Multi Exposure

Every Year at Our RV Trailer Park they put on Fire Works display on July 1st Canada Day. In Past I have photographed it on a tripod individual shots Video Taped it etc. etc. ;so this year I wanted to try something different.

So I tried :Multi Exposure mode (4) / Hand held / f8 (Star Affect) / 1/60 sec / 17 mm (for room to place 4 exposers) / tried to blend but not over top each / Back Focus (locked)Pre Infinity focus / TAv let ISO go to 1600 / not worried about pixal peeping.
1,2 & 4 maybe 5 I think I got all 4 exposers - #3 I think I only nailed 2 exposures
Bonus was the Smoke pressure patterns that look like creepy Webs.
All in All I like the end result.

Those are great shots, and a very creative approach. I'm taking notes.
