How did you protect your eyes while pointing at the sun?
About three years ago I purchased a 4" x 4" solar filter film and made a solar filter using an old uv filter for my Sigma 50-500mm lens. I used it to take photos of the solar eclipse in 2017. I used that filter to take these shots so I was looking through the camera viewfinder to take the photos so I never looked directly at the sun. I started zoomed out to 50mm to make it easier to find the sun and then zoomed in to 500mm. I did check the filter carefully beforehand to make sure there were no tears or holes.

Update for this thread:

I am being asked by a member of this forum whether K3 pictures posted here could be from any K3 camera "type".
Read this please:

some members are asking whether the thread is exclusive for the K 3 only
as the person who set up the thread
before the K 3 II existed I thought it might be your call.

Reply from me: At first, the K3 was the only "K3" existing, so I had no idea that there would be K3 follow-ups.
As far as I am concerned, anyone can post pictures of any form of K3 there, although there might be other threads specific to the "successors".
In a nutshell: any K3 picture can be posted there.
Cheers!

Aslyfox :
Thanks can you do us a favor and post that or something similar in the thread if you don't mind.

Is there the possibily to rename the thread in order that the name K3ii appears in the title ?

Ivan, do you find the 67 45mm easy to handle? It seems to me that it might be just a bit heavy.

How heavy is it?

I find it much heavier than, for example, the plastic fantastic Pentax-DA 35mm or 50mm. However, for some reason I really do not react too much to the weight of my equipment, perhaps because I am a 235 lb guy who spent half a lifetime lifting weights and similar silly stuff. Before retiring, I used to do weddings with an RB 67 hanging from my neck, and we all how big those things are. On the other hand, I never carry these cameras and lenses very far. If I were hiking up a mountain I would take something else, maybe the Q or the K-1 with a 40mm pancake lens.

I have recently re-discovered my K3, after several years of using the K1 almost exclusively. I find the DFA28-105 works as well on the K3 as on my full-framer

Is she an oil burner, or still coal? The smoke suggests to me that she's climbing a grade and the fireman is trying to keep the pressure up.

Here are three of my K-3 Pentax 67 45mm f 4.0 photos, similar but not the same as those in the earlier post, converted to black and white. Comments invited.
