As I'm reorganizing my photos, I keep rediscovering photos from the K-100D. This one of the moon rising over the Garden Wall was taken on the Highline Trail near Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. (The Garden Wall is the name of a ridge of heavily glaciated mountains along the continental divide.) It was taken in late afternoon, maybe a couple of hours before sunset. We're looking east or south east at the Garden Wall (as I recall), which why the rock cliff is nicely lit by the late afternoon sun. We'd stopped on the trail to eat a snack and drink some water when I noticed the moon over the Garden Wall.

Very nice moon and scene shot. For the information of the members, this is the Glacier National Park in Montana. There is another Glacier National Park in British Columbia

Welcome back to the K-3 Shooter's Hang Out! ;-) Now that Posting Freezy's over, looks like we're a little thin on the ground...

I've not had another chance to shoot snowflakes lately, something that requires snowfall at a time when I'm available to shoot. So I've been... baking! (SMC DA 35mm Limited)

I got up early for a sunrise shot over Niagara Falls, unfortunately the sun stayed in bed! This is 2 shots joined together, K3ii with 18-125 and a 3 stop fllter for 1 sec exposure.

Yes, I only went to prove I can, but there are some great sunrise shots if you are lucky.
On Saturday our camera club will be taking a tour round Clifton Hill to get some candid street shots, if I get any good ones I'll post them.

I've been to the Bird Kingdom and Butterfly Conservancy so many times it's old hat now, although the Butterfly Conservancy is nice on a cold winters day, like a quick trip to the Caribbean!
