Hawk Launch

I got to test the tracking once on the K-3 today and was some what impressed and look forward for more BIFs in the future.
This was a five shot burst.
These photos are not good by any means, raised the shadows 100% in LR.
The first photo is 100% crop and the flight shots are cropped to 5MP.

Nice results. What pattern, priorities have you settled on? Though I think my UK targets are going to be slightly smaller.

Tracking seems to be working.

You say you boosted the shadows 100%. If yes, the image seems to be holding up quite well, even under heavy crop.

Thanks for posting Dane, the K3 looks like a terrific camera that delivers on the auto focus. My K-3 should ship at the end of the month. Once the shock wears off on my wife and once I pay off the K3 a Sigma 500 is next unless new lens alternatives appear in the next year.

Thank you for posting these. This begins to happily address my concerns about the predictive AF of the K-3. Until mine arrives, I'll live vicariously through you and others.

Thanks for sharing your images and thoughts, Travis.
The AF-c seems to be improved very much, the focus on the head/body seems to be maintained throughout the sequence.

But I guess (sorry for being scrutinising) the real tests are yet to come, as this bird is flying parallel to the camera. The ulimate test would be a subject coming (allmost) straight at the camera, which also would be very demanding on the AFspeed of the lens itself.
I really wish I could test it myself

Under these conditions I think all of them would be OOF in these conditons on my K-5,
TenZ.NL I look foward to some head on Eagle shots. Last winter I had a lot of opportunity and only a few keepers.
