silkyPix updated to include K3

ISL software just released the update to SilkyPix to include the K3. it can be found here. This is awesome as I will have support for my K3 when I finally get it in 2 weeks.

Any on that already has the K3, would you be interested in downloading it, 30 day free trial, and comparing the noise output with it?

Yes it is, That utility doesn't have all of the features and functionality of the full version. I use the pro5 version and I really like it,

The K-3 has a new version of the Pentax Digital Camera Utility. It's version 5 now. Don't know how it is upgraded from version 4, but it is still based on SilkyPix.

yes, it uses the SilkyPix engine, but it's not a full featured software suite. SilkyPix Developer Studio Pro5 has a bunch of nice features, my favorite is the color selection, you can choose between several different film simulations, to get the look of shooting with different film. Here is the description of color selections.

Can someone clarify for me. Full Developer Studio 3.0 was always free with K-01 and K-30, but full DS5 is not on the K-3 Silkypix CD. Is that correct?

Yes. Also the full version is usually quicker as it makes use of all CPU cores.

Thanks, Dan. I wasn't sure if I had done only a partial install. Much appreciated. Mark
