Ah, I see. The performance is actually very similar to the K-5 II's, slightly better but nothing major. The big improvements are to screwdrive AF speed and live view AF reliability/speed. More details will be in our in-depth review.

It's a pity. I really hoped the AF.C speed is better than of the K-5 IIs'. Some forum members uploaded very crisp photos of flying birds from their new K-3s that I had never seen from K-5 owners.

You can of course get great pics with the K-3. But it still doesn't deliver the same level of performance as the competition does for sports. Half of the reason is that Pentax has very few fast-focusing lenses, though.
