FX button mapped to Level

Sad that I can't map the function button to the level of the camera in the K3.
I loved having it on my K5 when I was setting up the camera.

Anyone else?

Do you mean the Horizontal level display? you can bring it up by pressing info twice.

Yeah, I had mine mapped to level as well. Of course that was because it was the least bothersome function I could map it to. I am constantly hitting that button when holding the camera in portrait mode so for me it was real nuisance. I don't seem to have that problem on the k-3, so far. Maybe I just have not used it in portrait orientation that much yet.

I found that when setting up on a tripod I just hit the info button to cycle to level. Never used the FX button for that, even though it was mapped that way.

On the k-3 I have the FX button mapped to SR on/off which won't hurt too much if I hit it by accident and might be useful to me anyways.

I know, but it was nice to have it mapped to the Fx button.

I thought you were excited that you could map SR to the Fx button? I love having a one-touch button for that now.

That's one of the things I missed about the K20D, having a manual switch for SR. Then I realized that with the K-5 (and K-7, which I didn't own) SR was saved as part of the USER values, so I didn't gripe so much. I had a birding function saved as a USER mode which used TAv, raw, high burst mode and SR turned off. This was my preferred setting when using a tripod with long lenses. I did have to remember to switch the metering to spot mode. Now with the K-3, I can save the spot metering as part of the USER settings, plus I can map SR to the Fx button so I have a physical switch for SR. I think it's kind of the best of both worlds. I even prefer having the three USER settings available on the mode dial, not having to either search through menus or switch on-off to get at them. I suppose that comes at the cost of having only three USER modes instead of five, but it works better for me.
