K3 arrived yesterday. First time out this morning

see exif, kingfisher was taken with the da*300

Thanks for feedback. First 4 with the DA 300. Cropped a little. The last 2 are with the Sigma 150-500, with the last one being a vertical crop of an original horizontal image

terrific! Kingfisher a thing of wonder and delight. and v. encouraging for those of who expect to move up to the K 3 some time.

Oh well no point in my keeping the K3 now, you've got the shots I want (especially the Nuthatch). Is it me because, strangely, they seem to look better here than on flickr.

K3 out resolves flickr?

Very nice, and great PP technique. Can you share some details on how you got these shots? At 300mm you had to be pretty darn close to these birds.
