Live view Focus Tracking

Hi there!

First off I must say that the auto focus on the K-3 is way much better and faster then on my K-5. Many sharp shots so far.

The user manual has been really stripped and is really not explaining the features, just telling me how to turn on or off the feature...

Well now my question: The Focus Tracking in live view: How is it supposed to work? In my little world it would track a subject that I first focus on and keep in focus until I press the shutter release. It does not...

So, is it not working as it should or do I missunderstand the feature?

It should do as you say, and it does so - sometimes.

I would not use live view for moving subjects though, so the fact that it doesn't work too well doesn;t really bother me.

Using focus tracking with the viewfinder instead of live view seems to work much much better.
