It could be a production issue or maybe they found a bug. Conjecture: I've read reports of existing flucards running very hot. The K-3 card has more features so likely runs even hotter. Maybe the cards were overheating or draining batteries, necessitating some redesign?

Regardless of the cause I prefer a delay instead of a broken product. At least Ricoh announced the delay. I hope reviewers and 3rd party software developers can get test cards earlier, though.

You are supposed to get plenty of fluids when you have the Flu, but the weather sealing on the K-3 must prevent that...

Well, on the website they're saying it's due to a much higher than anticipated demand, so they can't yet ensure the quantity required for release.

Maybe they don't have any firm info… many companies, like Apple say, don't discus a problem, unless they can simultaneously release the solution. SO, once a firm date is projected, they'll probably talk to you. It's funny you have no confidence in this company though.. do you have confidence in any company? I'd like to see the list.
I've posted confidence in many companies, including Ricoh, so don't know where you are making that one up from.

In fact, I am one of the few that is not down on Ricoh here and outspoken about their approach.

I don't think the FLU card has a bug either, it's probably a virus!!!!
I think COLDS are based in having a bug.

What's really sick is the way the entire etymology of computer geekdom is bulit around infection. I sit on a User Council for my Firm's Technology Development Group. We build and release qpplication "Capsules" designed to "restore, maintain or improve total system health" and "systemic integrity."

Gaahhhh.

So all of you who have a K-3 have to wait for some of its features to be activated in February?

I think Ricoh should make that up for you, Somehow.

Personally, I doubt I would be able to display the patience that some of you do.

I'm betting it's because of the heat issue as well.

Too bad they can't redesign for 802.11ac for more speed :-P
