A kick to the head

20160228 - A sequence of K-3 shots. DA* 60-250/F4. 1/1600, f/6.3, ISO200.

This was a "friendly" pre-season U14 match. My son is the goalie.

I missed the focus on this save, but I've managed to improve it using FocusMagic applied with selective masking from ReMask 5. When recovering shots like this taken at f/2.8, it's impossible to get a great result, but it can still be usable.

K-3 + Sigma 70-200/F2.8 II. 1/3200, f/2.8, ISO100.

Great series of shots Dan, looks like the K-3 does pretty well with proper technique and a good lens. You've got a star in the making there with your son, he never took his eyes off the ball during the series.

Nice clean shot! What lens were you using?

I used a 60-250, can't say enough good things about this lens. Great af, color and contrast, this is ooc jpeg, but I did spend a minute getting the exposure right before the game started. This shot was prefocused on the goalie, I could see that the shot was coming.

Yup, by Number 10, I think!

The image is very good, too!

K3 w/ DA 50-135mm F2.8 Rented the lens for the event, which performed perfectly.
