In short, with 50% more sensor pixels, the K-3 has noticeably better resolution. Yes, at higher ISOs the noise will be there but it is fine-grained and one can usually get rid of the chroma noise entirely leaving only some luma noise. Depends on your aversion to noise but I don't mind it. The K-3 brings so many more things to the table that speed up working the camera that for once image quality is not the only consideration for me.

Yes. In short, it is a joy to work with. The buttons are all in the right place. Nothing crucial hidden in menus (iso!!!)… you can review the histogram by setting the live view up to show it automatically. It's a fine, user friendly tool that fits perfectly in my hands & feels good to use. I look forward to shooting with it for however many years it takes for Pentax to finally get off the pot and offer up a full frame.

If the eventual result is anything like this beauty, this brand has nowhere to go but up, up & up! Very pleased.
