The sharpness on the K-3 totally sucks!

This SUCKS!!!

Of the 223 low light church Christmas show shots I took yesterdat, about 220 were perfectly in focus and sharp... using the AF button for AF.C and selecting focus points.

Now I have more work to do. Used to be the keeper rate was low so I could just pick the least blurry ones and move along quickly. Now I have to decide the best or process even more photos!!!!

I will say that the red saturation was pretty high in high ISO, but just dropping that a few notches in LR5 cleared that up nicely.

I show in TAv mode and let the camera select the ISO -- giving it full range.

This was shot at 250mm (60-250mm lens) f4.5 1/125, I was sitting using a monopod and only house lights. K-3 selected ISO9000

Here's a 100% crop

That from this (will do some noise reduction later).

Obviously your camera hates you, by making you work more. That's ok. Just send the camera over to me and you will never need to worry about being overloaded with processing images ever again!

Don't listen to him, he just wants your camera, listen to me, I want it more, send it to me instead. Think of all the work it will save you. I'm only thinking of what is in your best interest.

Neither one of those bozos cares one whit about you. But I do. I will gladly trade you my K-5 for your K-3, so that you are not without a camera. And this time, you won't have as many keepers, reducing your workload. See how I look out for you??

Hey, I'll buy you a nice Rebel XT Fastback 3000 GT (or whatever those things are called) in exchange for that awful K-3. Now that is what I call caring for a friend!

If smiles were made of Gold, I'd buy each of you a K-3 for making me laugh.

I'll one-up the bids: A Praktica PLC3 with a 28mm and a 135mm. Never worry about sharpness again. Maybe that will make you change your mind?

Wow, great results from that almost "worst case light" scenario. Good job!

I understand that you were also concerned about the grayness of your k-3. I'll send you a brand new k-5ii, in a body only box, for your k-3. You love me now, right? :-D
