My experience with the camera freezing is some what similar but different. I was in the menu screen and scrolling forward and it just locked up. I could nor scroll forward or backwards. I turned off the camera and nothing happened. The screen stayed on. I had to pull the battery and reinstall and it functioned perfectly. My thought was that I was scrolling to fast and it locked up. This has not happened any more but will keep and eye out for it.

You guys need to get on base down their in Aussy land. DRabitt has a long thread elsewhere in this forum about this issue. She has beat it to death!

Don't have a K-3 yet, K-5 still does the job. Maybe some of these intermittent problems are the result of a capacitor not functioning properly every time.
