The release notes for the recent V1.01 firmware update stated that there was "Improved performance of continuous shooting when using phase-matching autofocus." I'm usually not one to sniff around firmware patches, but from my experience shooting indoor soccer on Thursday with 1.01 installed, I must say that I perceived a distinct improvement in AF. A few of the
shots are posted under the K-3 sports thread; overall I'd say that the degree of hunting was less and the AF-9 points seemed to follow the action better. While I'm not feeling definitive in my pronouncement, I am feeling more positive about the quality of the predictive AF subsystem. So far so good.
I'm curious if anyone has experiences post-V 1.01 firmware to share re: AF.
