I believe it is important to know at what focal length this was taken, because with my own lens I see a big difference between shots at 300m and those under 200mm.

You are right, the eye was taken at 190mm.
This one was at 300mm.

Thats still way sharper than mine is at 200mm

Just so you guys know, the lens is pretty sharp up to about 190mm and it goes down hill from there. These are some pacific baza shots from today at 170-190mm. (feel free to edit them if you think they would look better with some sharpening or contrast or whatever because my lightroom is not working at the moment)
