K-3 with 10 000 Shutter releases.

Got my K-3 early november and now the shutter count has reached 10 000. It took me 3.5 years with my K10d and 8 months with my K-5 to reach 10 000.

This camera is really fun to use! =)

So you either more active as a photographer, or you just aren't as good in taking pictures as back in the old day's where almost every click meant an image worth looking at while now you need 10.000 clicks for justone bird in the skye.

At 8.3 fps you can reach 10,000 shots in about 21 minutes of continuous shooting!

I had my KX for almost 3 years, had fewer than 10k clicks. My K-30 is just about 10k and I got it less than 7 months ago, so yeah, same problem! I often set my drive mode to high and shoot off 6 or 8 just to get THAT expression. Pays off sometimes, like this:

Or if you take 1 shot per minute continuously and without sleeping you will reach 10,000 in 7 days.
You must be soooo tired. ha ha

The bokeh in your images looks great but the rest... Why do the birds look like a total mess?

Apogising is a word I donīt understand. Boasting, not at all. Just saying that the K-3 has been fun to use and the amount of time spent in the field taking pictures has been a lot.

Now we understand why Pentax increased shutter cycle of the K-3 to 200K

(Mine just reached ~1300 shutter releases after 3 weeks)

I got my K-7 in March 2011, I think, and am at around 90K actuations. I'm on pace with my K-3 to hit that mark in four years (of course, softball season hasn't started yet.)

Where do you find the number of shutter releases on the K-3?
