ExiF data

There is a lot of pictures on this forum but to many lack ExiF data attached. I don´t know why many people cuts the ExiF out but I for one would like to se what shutter speed, f-stop, ISO, lens used etc so that I can learn from you all. If I find a picture to be this or that the ExiF helps me understand why or it helps me improve my shots.

So, please attach the ExiF data when you post your pictures.

Unfortunately, some software deletes the Exif info and we do not always notice until it is called to our attention. A good practice is to list camera, lens and f stop/ speed with the photo if possible although that can be a bit of a bother sometimes.

Photoshop's 'save for web' feature will strip out exif data. However, if you do 'save as => jpeg', the exif is retained.

Some of the picture hosting sites filter out EXIF data.

If you want to you can choose to retain all metadata in a drop down menu when using save for web in photoshop
