Newbie question

Can you put a lens with stabilization onto a K3? Can the two systems work together?

You can put an optical stabilized lens on the camera, but only one system should be enabled at any one time.

The reason is that each - the lens system and the in body system has their own sensors detecting movement. If both are enabled, then the lens is going to correct for the movement as the light passes through and then when the "corrected" light hits the sensor, the body will adjust the position of the sensor again for the detected movement - thus "uncorrecting" the light. So, no - having two corrections in series does not work.

It's the optical version of "Friendly Fire".
