K10d is a fine camera. I think money better spent on superior glass, if you don't already have it.

Yeah K10D is a fine camera however a major concern is per lens adjustability. Whenever you purchase a new lens for K10D do a thorough testing for Back Focs/Front Focus issues.

Or a not so major concern. I have found that the inherent lack of precision* of the AF system in the field is a greater source of missed focus than any inaccuracy associated with my AF lenses. If focus is critical, I use manual focus with an aftermarket focus screen.

Same here, though I am extremely fond of my K10D. It has been a faithful and dependable tool since I bought it new in 2007.

We have so much in common, pardner.

To the OP - I bought a K10D, and no other dSLR until the K3. They are quite different animals. The K10D continues to serve with distinction and I would be quite happy to have it only, did I not have the K3.

You still have a K-01 though... no!?
That's like the bridge between the two... without the viewfinder

Like many, I was excited with the release of the K-3, but I've since decided to skip it.
I don't need 24Mp, I don't need dual SD card slots, don't need wireless tethering and the improved K-3 video mode is only marginally better than the K-01 I have.
I think I'd rather go to an EOS 650D kit where I could install Magic Lantern. A dual lens kit can be had for a little over AUD$700
I'd miss the K-3 build quality, but at the end of the day, it's the pictures and the video clips I'll be looking at.

Yes! I got the benefit of the 16Mp Exmoor sensor, Prime M imaging engine before that was cool and the XA 'Click' shuttter sound in one designer package.

For a long time I had 1 1/2 dSLR's.

Now with the K10D, K-01, Q and K3 I guess I have 2 2/2 dSLR's
