K3 iso 8000

I went to the Edmonton Motorcycle Show this afternoon to try out the K3 AF in low light. All the shots I am sharing below were at ISO 8000 (1/325 sec and f3.5 with Tamron 70-200 f2.8 lens) with NR set to medium. I have been going to the annual motorcycle shows and have shot with the K20, K7, K5, K5IIs and now K3. The AF on the K3 is best of all the models. ISO 8000 is better than I expected on the K3.

How did the photos turn out compared to the K5IIs?

Surprisingly to me, at high ISO the K3 looks very similar to K5IIs. This is the highest ISO I have used so far on the K3 and the pics looked way better than I was expecting.

Wow - excellent captures and that's pretty good for ISO 8000. What sort of post work did you have to do?

The photos were shot in RAW and developed in LR with standard settings with -0.7 EV as the brightness was a little too high. Also added Clarity. The slight overexposure may have been the reason for reasonable noise at this ISO.

I guess Auto ISO is the only sharpness issue with the camera.

Great shots!
I'm wondering, how does the Tamron perform on the K3, especialle AF speed/accuracy? I'm using a Sigma 70-200 HSMII at this moment and am considering a switch.

The Tamron AF works quite well on the K3 but I can't compare to Sigma version as I don't have that lens. The Sigma HSM will be silent focussing though.
