Pentax K3 hand grip

Hi All,
I am new to this forum, and do not yet own a Pentax camera. I have been shooting with the Olympus OMD-EM5 since I sold my Nikon D7000 last year.
I am considering buying the new K3 but have concerns about the hand grip, as a woman I don't have very big hands. So would I find the camera difficult to handle off a tripod?

Many thanks all.

The K-3 is really easy to hold. I don't think you'll have any problems holding it steadily with moderately-sized lenses.

You're coming from D7000 experience?

Then the only thing to be worried about is how much your mind gets blown by the grip on the K-3

You can directly compare the size and shape here:
Compare camera dimensions side by side

The D7000 has a thicker grip. You actually need slightly longer fingers to hold it comfortably. It's also much more round, where the pentax grip has a flat interior edge. The K3 looks much easier to hold. It does weigh more than the D7000, but only about 2/3 of an ounce.

To quote an old Pentax ad ... 'Just be warned in advance - once you get the feel of a Pentax, you'll never let go'.

I'm a male with small hands and no problems with gripping the K-5, K-5 Limited or K-3 so you should be fine. Everything is easily in reach even for small hands. The only Pentax I've tried that I've had trouble with reaching everything is the K-01, but that's a completely different design.
