For wildlife shooting with DA*300, I have the tv mode front dial changes shutter, rear dial changes exposure compensation. There are a few situations where a stop more or less is needed, and it is right there. I have the user modes set to 1. center weighted metering, 27 point focus center selected, 2. spot meter center point focus, 3. center point focus, center weighted metering. All tv mode. I switch between depending on circumstances.

Not sure if this is exclusive to Pentax, but coming from the k-r one of my favourites is the e-dials when reviewing: I've set the rear dial to 100% zoom, so one click of the rear dial to check focus, and the front dial to go to next or previous image whether zoomed or not.

hmmm, quick search of the PDF manual for "hyper" turns up nothing.
For those of us new to Pentax, what is "hyper-program"?

Cheers,
Michael
Refers to P-mode, from which you can go to aperture or shutter sped mode just using the wheels.

My favourite features are the automatic mirror lock-up when you engage the timer and that tiny green button that does automatic stop-down metering. These features are unique to Pentax. As to why other brands haven't thought of this? ...

By far it is the lenses that it can mount! The limited still are Pentax coolest feature, imho. And the super-speedy bracketing. So easy to do hand-held HDR now. Especially if you keep it subtle.

Now how about a limted body? Styled in the same way as the limited lenses?

Most of the features are not unique to the K-3. I don't have HDR, and my K10D's bracketing is slower, but the exposure shifted bracketing is there, and of course every Pentax AF SLR or DSLR has focus trapping. In the later models such as your K-3, I believe you can use it with AF lenses, whereas with the older cameras it was a way to make manual focus lenses semi AF.

How are you doing one touch bracketing, and how do you switch back?

Thank you,

Ron

Yea? Usually TAv mode, hyper-program, green button or overall ergonomics are hailed as little Pentax specialties. But that's also great
I second this.TAv just rocks.
