So I'm curious what AF Active Area (Focus type) people are finding work best for the Da 300 or longer for things like birds in flight, sports, etc...so far single point seems to work the best for me so have to feel with so many options I must be missing something...I occasionally use SEL M if a bird is in the sky and nothing else there but just can't seem to find anything I love...would love to hear others experiences

I tested a few modes and found best results with this setup for BIF:
AF-A
9 point zone select (centered)
Drive mode continuous high
Custom settings:
16 release priority
17 focus priority
18 off

I tested on a flock of seagulls on a lake with no obstructions so it is possible some of the parameters might need to be different based on your situation. Have fun with your testing
